“In our pursuit to support and maintain the greatest traditions of fine European wines, we asked Jean-Paul to consider aging a selection of the finest wine in barrel from the 2012 vintage for an additional year, so as to replicate more closely the most profound wines of the past. Fortunately for all of us, he enthusiastically agreed. As he tasted through the various barrels of the great 2012 vintage in preparation for bottling, Jean Paul pulled two of highest-potential barrels and set them aside for an additional year of élévage. The result is what is known as “Cuvée des Félix – Sélection Jean-Paul Versino”, which is an exceptionally complex and complete expression of this great terroir. Energetic fruit is sewn into a graceful backbone, all of which is lifted from the palate by surprising acidity.

With the equivalent of 600 bottles available, we asked for half to be put up in magnum (150 total), with a mere 300 bottles in the 750ml format.” Neal Rosenthal
